TIGHITCO, a leading provider of aerospace and defense solutions, announced today that their Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) division, Overhaul Support Services (OSS), out of East Grandby, Connecticut, has been awarded a new agreement by Pratt & Whitney for the overhaul and repair of blisk fans for their PW800 series engines. This program marks the first repair agreement between OSS and Pratt & Whitney’s Bridgeport, West Virginia division.

This new partnership will allow Pratt & Whitney to benefit from OSS’s extensive experience and capabilities in MRO services, while also providing OSS with the opportunity to expand their customer base.

CHARLESTON, SC, USA — TIGHITCO announced today that their MRO division, Overhaul Support Services (OSS), located in East Granby, Connecticut, has been awarded a new long-term agreement by Leonardo Aerospace, Defence and Security for overhaul and repair of exhaust ducts, and other accessories for multiple aircraft types. The 5-year, long-term agreement is the first with the European based manufacturer.

In addition to composite repair, OSS offers sheet metal repair as well as hydraulic actuator, gearbox, and rotor blade repairs. CHARLESTON, SC, USA, October 17, 2023 — TIGHITCO’s Overhaul Support Services (OSS) division has been awarded a new contract by the U.S. Army for the UH-60 Vane Axial Fan. The 5-year long-term agreement, pursuant to Solicitation W58RGZ-23-B-0033, is valued at up to $5.9 Million and adds to the recent contract awards by our DOD partners.

“This is a significant contract for TIGHITCO OSS,” stated Shawn Hawks, TIGHITCO VP/GM Aerostructures. “It will serve as a continuum of our work in supporting the U.S. Army. The UH-60 Vane Axial Fan is a key complex component of the Army’s helicopter fleet, and this contract will ensure that OSS can continue to provide the high quality of service that the Army requires.”

TIGHITCO has been supporting the U.S. Army’s helicopter fleet for over 30 years. The company’s OSS division specializes in the repair and overhaul of critical rotorcraft and fixed-wing components.

The new contract calls for the overhaul of up to 20 UH-60 Vane Axial Fans per year. Work will be performed at TIGHITCO’s East Granby, CT facility and is expected to begin in Q2 of 2024.

CHARLESTON, SC, USA, September 1, 2023 — TIGHITCO’s Overhaul Support Services (OSS) division has been selected by the US Army Contracting Command – Redstone to perform an overhaul of UH60 Helicopter Main Rotor Spindles for US Army and foreign military operators. The three-year, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract pursuant to FAR 52.216-22 was awarded on August 28, 2023, and has potential sales value in excess of $25 million.

Under the terms of the contract, OSS will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and facilities necessary to perform overhaul of the UH60 main rotor spindles. OSS will also provide support during the warranty period.
